Seamless

Everything was seamless at work today. It didn't start out that way. It was like any other day - ordinary, routine, mundane, uneventful. Then, the word"seamless" started to ring in my head, like a mantra, a whisper, and sure enough, everything turned to simply that.

Seamless - Uninterrupted, coherent. Some of its synonyms - Absolute, unblemished, impeccable, indefectible, ideal.

They were all that, I was all that! I was beyond calm, cool, and collected. I was flawless, faultless, terrific, unsurpassed.  Everything was picture-perfect. If every day at work were like that, Wow! I wouldn't ask for more, nothing I would want more!

Really,WOW! Simply put, it was magical. Utterly, magical!

A Most Beautiful Prayer by St. Francis of Assisi

Prayer of Saint Francis of Assisi

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
and where there is sadness, joy.

O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek
to be consoled as to console;
to be understood as to understand;
to be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive;
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life. Amen.

An Incredible Picture of Pope Francis

Amazing !!!
AN INCREDIBLE PICTURE OF POPE FRANCIS
WHAT A BEAUTIFUL PICTURE...
POPE FRANCIS WAS WAVING AT THE PEOPLE AT SAINT PETER'S SQUARE WEDNESDAY GENERAL AUDIENCE WHEN, INCREDIBLY, A DOVE PERCHED ON HIS HAND!

Is this the dove that's taking snapshots of my universe?! What great shot! Whoever took this picture, wow, what perfect timing! And what perfect story, too. St. Francis of Assisi was known for his affinity to animals. The new pope chose his name, thus, Pope Francis. It's not surprising that an animal, a dove at that, came to him! How symbolic is the all-white color, too, look! Marvelous! God must have said, "This is our beloved new pope in whom I am well pleased."

150 Years

Now I understand why the banks I told you about had 150 years on their ads. I saw another bank, a WELLS FARGO mug with the same logo, 150 years, on it. 1800s is about when the first banks were founded.

Talk about banking, finally, I decided to merged my bank accounts today. Been planning it for a long time. And today was the day, again, arbitrary-at random-uneventful-day. Nothing special, no preparations. Just today was it. Like the day when I decided to open my accounts 2 years ago, remember.

A Saint So Dear to My Heart

[Saint Marie Eugenie de Jesus]
Today , June 3, 2013, marks the 6th year since Religious of the Assumption foundress, Saint Marie Eugenie, was canonized.

Father of all Goodness, You revealed to Marie Eugenie the mystery of Your Holiness. In her rediscovered faith, You made her understand that all honor and glory are given You by a humanity restored in Jesus Christ. Send us the fullness of Your Holy Spirit!  May He make us adorers in Spirit and in Truth! And may peoples of all tongues, races and nations become but one, to the praise of Your Glory, forever and ever. Amen.

Love Those Street Fairs!

Union Street Fair is on this weekend, right now, and I love, love going to these festivals! They're alive and lively, attracting over hundred thousand people from all over town, including tourists from all over the world. A fun way to spend the day or the weekend! Even dogs have their day on festivals like this. With over a hundred boutiques featuring works by artists from different parts of the country in clothing, jewelry, painting, photography and many more, live music, food and drinks - it's live entertainment! Great ambiance!

And feels like summer, too! Remember what I told you about getting dressed for summer? Don't get fooled, though. It doesn't take far and long to feel cold and chilly in this city. My mother-in-law used to tell everyone to always bring a jacket in San Francisco,"You can feel warm when you walk out the door and 3 blocks later, it's freezing cold!"
Yup, only 3 blocks, and not 3 hours later, either. And Norman always says you can always tell the tourists in the city. They wear tank tops, thinking it's hot here as in California hot, "Then they come out of Fisherman's Wharf wearing jogging suits they just bought."

San Francisco, I love, love the city and the streets! Now don't forget the popular boutiques and restaurants on the city's famed Victorians' fashionable Union Street itself. It's a gorgeous stretch of a street!

Sentiments of Holy Land

I went to the vigil mass today for tomorrow's Sunday mass. And I'm quite surprised how I'm still affected by my visit to the Holy Land 3 months ago. I thought by now the emotions would have died down, and I'd be back to reality. On the contrary, my eyes still well up, my emotions as strong as when I attended my first mass, Palm Sunday, in Manila right after coming back from my trip. And really, I still choke up when I talk about it.

The pilgrimage to Holy Land is truly a life-changing experience. And for us, Catholics, Christians, especially, this shouldn't be missed. It's an experience of a lifetime.

Tomorrow, celebrating Corpus Christi, a live simulcast of Pope Francis' invitation to the whole world for Adoration will take place on the internet at 5 pm, Rome time.  I won't miss that.
